After retuning home the new airbags continued to leak and the compressor continually ran to compensate for the lack of suspension. I took the RV to the dealership where we had purchased it to have it fixed once and for all. Several calls and a month later I finally received a call back from the dealerships service manager who stated that the dealership was about to go out of business. He also informed me that he was having a hard time getting the new bags from Dynamax. I decided to bring the RV home and find someone else to do the repair work.
I contacted Dynamax and was referred to another authorized repair shop to complete the work. Once the repair work was completed I paid the bill and was told by Dynamax that I would received the reimburse shortly. Needless to say that I would not be writing to Action Line if this really would have happed as Dynamax insured it would. I had received countless excuses from Dynamax on when I would received the money owed to me.
Our RV had 2998 miles on it when the Air Lift replaced the airbags the first time. I really don't think this is an Air Lift problem and I believe that this is a Dynamax issue that occurred when the RV was built. I would like help from Action Line in recovering the $648.40 from Dynamax that is owed to me.
John Parker, Kingston, Tennessee
ACTION LINE: A petition was sent on behalf of Mr. Parker to Dynamax, which resulted in the following correspondence from Dynamax's Dan Johnston, customer service representative:
We have received Action Line's letter regarding Mr. Parker's concerns. We are aware of Mr. Parker's suspension issues and have worked diligently with him and Air Lift, the suspension manufacturer, to resolve his concerns. We just recently helped coordinate service at the Air Lift factory to completely review his unit and repair as needed.
Like many components in a motorhome, Dynamax does not warrant the suspension system, the manufacturer does. It was our understanding that Air Lift was handling the repayment for the repairs on the suspension. Since that has not happened as a customer goodwill gesture, Dyanmax is reimbursing Mr. Parker the original $638.40 plus an additional 220.85 for the suspension repairs he has incurred prior to going to the Air Lift factory.
